Yesterday, my husband called me, and asked me the craziest question ever. He wanted to know if women could lactate and produce milk without having a baby. Well, I knew that the answer was yes, I had heard of women adopting babies and being able to eventually product natural breastmilk without going through pregnancy. So we begin to talk about it, and he asks rather shyly, if I would consider doing it.
Apparently, his step-brother and his wife were discussing it, and it got my husband intrigued. He finds it very erotic and sexy, and is very very interested in pursing it. I will say that I myself found it rather exciting and interesting. I told him that he was not weird or strange, that it was natural. I knew that my husband had a huge fascination with my boobs and sucking on them, so it really was not a shock.
Thus began my research on the subject. Then I found that it had a name, Adult Nursing Relationship, or ANR. Needless to say I have been obsessed with the subject since he brought it up. I spent hours looking it up last night and watching videos. Since I can’t talk to anyone I know about it, I wanted to start a blog about it.
So I started reading the steps that I need to take to induce lactation. Most websites suggest the Marmet Technique. They suggest 10 min sessions on each breast , alternating, 8 times a day. That is 160 minutes of my day squeezing my breasts, LOL!! The technique is going to cause my glands to respond to the method and cause the production of breastmilk. I am doing this the all natural way, no added hormones, no pills. Just the hand technique and a pump.
For those not farmiliar with the Marmet Technique, it goes as follows:
- Step 1- Place you thumb on the top of your areola and the first two fingers on the bottom, creating the letter C
- Slightly lift and push into your chest wall
- Roll the thumb and forefinger forward, applying a slight pressure.
I did it last night, (I accidentally did it for 20 min on each side, I was distracted) first thing this morning upon waking, at 2:30 on lunch, and again at 4:30 on break. I will repeat when I get home, and before bed. I will eventually get a pattern and schedule going.
Wednesday I will be buying a breast pump and will start to incorporate that into the mix. I plan on using the pump only twice a day, mabey three times, the rest will be by hand.
At first there will be no milk, my body has not begun to produce it this quickly. But in time I will be able to feed my husband. Once he gets home, he will be able to assist with the sessions by physically sucking on my nipples for the 20 min sessions. This will also assist with the production.
I can not wait to experience the closeness of providing my breastmilk to my husband. He will be able to drink freely, and when he is not home, I can freeze the breastmilk for him to use in his coffee, in baking or cooking and If necessary I can donate it to a breast milk bank.
I will be keeping you all updated as I progress. I know I don’t have any followers yet, heck I just created this today. But in time, I hope to inspire a growing community of people who are into ANR.
